I posted a week or so ago that I have an $800+/- budget, and some space constraints. I also needed a gas grill for my wife to use when I am on the road.

I have decided to get a Weber Performer Premium to start with. I plan on picking up a Weber Spirit E-210 later, but for now, I'm just going to wait and see if I can pick one up on clearance sometime between now and the new year.

Having said that, what are some of the accessories that I should get, outside of the obvious chimney starter, gloves, tongs, lighter cubes, etc?

I am really interested in the Slow n Sear and the Kettle Pizza. Any thoughts on these? Are there better options?

We'll be moving into a new house in a couple of weeks, and that is when I will be able to pull the trigger.

Did you get the lp or natural gas model?

I haven't purchased yet, but would get the LP version. I have a NG line at the house we're buying, but I plan on storing the grills in our detached garage and taking it out when needed. Natural Gas would be a pain.

There you go. The local Ace Hardware can refill your lp propane tank for $12.50

A good meat thermometer if you don't already have one, like a Thermopen.

Good point. I have several, but all are old and I probably need to upgrade.

I saw that. They run deals all the time.

The other day they had their open-box sale and they have stuff that is 30% off which is very enticing.

I have a thermoworks smoke and a thermapop. Both are great products.

I hate going to their website because I’m also tempted to buy something

I really like my combo probe and IR thermometer from Thermapen. An IR is a great tool if you get the Kettle Pizza insert, and for all sorts of other things.

I'd like to hear from those who have the Slow n Sear and Kettle Pizza. My family loves my grilled pizza that I make right on the grill. I'm looking to take that to the next level.

Anything that makes smoking results more consistent needs to be on my radar...

A kettle pizza insert will require some adjustment, if you're used to grilling pizza directly. It's designed to get very hot, with radiant heating from above. So be prepared for a learning curve from your current procedure, and definitely use a pizza peel.

Already noted. I have watched Youtube videos on this, and realized that the temps will be increased and the cook time will be decreased. I will also need to rotate my pizzas while cooking, using the peel. I like wood-fired pizza, so this will be right up my alley.

It is a nice rig and if what ya want good for you. My only gripe bout Weber grills is they are too short the dome is too low no big roasts or drunk chickens turkeys etc dome too low
