Unintended benefits of pellet smokers?

I put a 7.5lb Boston Butt on my Yoder this morning and my wife (no pics) and I are sitting her talking about what needs to be done today. Our kids start school on Wednesday and there are some last few items that need to be picked up today. I told her that I had to man the smoker today for dinner and I wouldn’t be able to go with her. The day isn’t over and she wasn’t born last night… but as of right now I will NOT be doing anything other than drinking beer and manning my pit!
What other small victories do y’all have from owning a pellet smoker?

I have a vertical propane smoker that I built about 4 years ago. It’s insulated so it holds heat well and requires minimal attention. I put a 19.5 pound brisket on at 830 last night and it’s sitting at 168 right now. I got up 3x during the night to check the temp but that’s it. I’m hoping it’s ready about 3 this afternoon.
My son and I are clearing fence rows this morning and then bush hogging roads behind the house . I’ll check the smoker every couple hours.

Sounds like unintended benefits of an uninformed wife. Isn’t the whole point of an outdoor EZ Bake being that you can set it and forget it?

The pellet smoker is perfect for those that are attending a cookout and do not really want or care for a smoke flavor in their food. Even cooler thing is the pellet master believes there's a smoke flavor even when it doesn't exist. So for those that don't enjoy smoke, simply encourage your pellet master that he's doing great, and you can't believe the quality of smoke flavor from his cooking! :)
