I heard from my ENG prof that Tyson is well known for cutting corners around treating their chickens without any decency whatsoever.Truth?

Are you really that surprised?
Most chicken you buy at a regular grocery store will have steroids in it.

Pretty much any store bought chicken is roided up

unless the package says non-biotics, open grazed, etc it has roids, anti-biotics, etc in it

no animal raised for food is treated with any decency...we shop based pretty much on price alone, so the suppliers raise our food as quickly and inexpensively as they can...

not only roids but all chicken is pumped full of fluid so you are paying for a lot of water not chicken.
I cooked some thighs in a crock pot, no water added. 6 hours later, liquid all the way to the top of the pot.
This scam should be stopped by congress. We are not buying what they tell us we are getting.

if you really saw what went into putting that nice, frozen 3lb bag of chicken breasts into your local wally world you probably wouldn't want to eat them anymore. The chicken breasts have gotten so big they cut them in half....shite looks like it comes from a damn turkey. I would definitely not purchase Tyson chicken products if i was at all worried about steroids/growth hormones/anti-biotics, etc in my chicken. How do you think they cram a million chickens into a dark steel building and not have all of them die from disease and all weigh >7lbs??

Allthe big chicken houses have them pumped with roids, also have water injected so you are paying for water!
I will only buy fresh, never frozen free range, organic chickens. The cost is very pricy, but the chicken tastes much better. I gave fried it grilled it, baked it and smoked it and it just tastes better,

I'm so glad your left wing, non-deodorant wearing liberal arts English professor is using their classroom to spread rumors and horror stories about the food production industry.
Yes, Tyson is treating their chickens with steroids and beating them to death. That's why we have the safest, healthiest, most regulated food supply in the world. I invite anyone who thinks our food animals are stuffed with steroids and treated cruelly to visit a farm and meet a farmer or rancher.
I wish people would stop saying stupid things about stuff they don't know the first fact about!
Please don't trust your English teacher to tell you about chicken farming any more than you would ask your Ag professor to teach modern Russian literature.

it's not pumped with fluid (unless marinated). water is absorbed in the chill down procwess, however

Let's not bring facts, reason, and scientific inquiry into this thread. I'm still busy worrying myself silly about chicken steroids and trying to get back to the Cro-Magnon way of life. Human intervention is evil; Mother Nature knows what is best for us.
