LFG!!! I love this place. Also, it's about five minutes from where I live and directly next door to our Packer bar. Bill Murray had an ownership stake in Rutledge Cab Co that was previously in the building. He's also a partial owner of Container Bar (our Packer bar), which doesn't serve food. So yours truly will be putting on 10 lbs during football season.

a number of the too cool for school folks will tell you that truth isn't all it's cracked up to be, but the food is awesome. some of the best sides and desserts in bbq, and the bbq is as good as anywhere.

Great news for Charleston. Top-shelf TX BBQ joint all the way around. And FTR, yes, it's better than John Lewis's place.

Interesting…good for Leonard suppose.

There needs to be an exchange of goods here…Charleston gets Truth and Houston gets Chubby Fish or The Ordinary in return.

I'm a Lewis fanboy but I will always be in favor of more great spots, especially TX BBQ. If nothing else it'll make sure Lewis stays on their game. And I've never ectually eaten at a Truth restaurant, I just had it at the Windy City Smokeout in Chicago and loved it.

I was under the impression that all establishments that serve alcohol in South Carolina had to serve food and certain kitchen regulations for food storage. Maybe they have a work-around or I might be mistaken? Just wondering…
ETA: another good bbq joint is always welcome. There are a lot of good bbq options downtown.
