I think I must have tried this place on Oak prior to my “medical event”, but I don’t remember the experience clearly. What are some opinions or observations about this place?

Haven't been in a while but they make a good burger. Nothing earth-shattering but I remember enjoying it.

It's fine. Burgers, hot dogs, milkshakes. Skinny fries. I drive past it in my daily commute, but I rarely go there. It just never seems to wow me. I do like Co Burger better.

The veggie burger is truly awful. Mostly shredded beets. (Unless it's improved recently)

ETA: just read online that founder Aaron Burgau sold it to the owners of Magasin back in '16.

It’s ok. I’ve been once, but as someone else has already said, I prefer Company Burger.

Nothing special. Probably do Cowbell if I was along that stretch.

Tru burger is ok. I think I ate there twice.

Not a top 10 burger in the city

Remember they were part of the NOLA burger movement back when. Haven’t been since they opened

About the same as Company Burger. CB is way overrated here.

I actually had it take out last week for the first time in a while. Nothing ground-breaking, but it's a serviceable burger if you're in the area.

You don’t eat mayo. You’ve never had a good burger in your life tbh

If your bar for a good burger is to put mayo on it, you are doing it wrong. Disappointed in you earl.

It was good when it first opened and Aaron Burgau was running it

He sold it a couple of years ago and now it’s pretty terrible. I’m pretty sure last time u was there I had a packaged preformed burger patty.

Drive a little further down Oak and go to Cowbell. Way better food.

Agree that the Cowbell burger is the superior Oak St option.
