Tried Instant Pot ribs

Been wanting to try to short cut the spare rib process so we don't have to eat them only on weekends and to prevent me from having to run home at noon to start the smoker. Saw people were doing combos of smoker and instant pot and picked the shortest one I found. This one was 20 minutes in the pot, then one hour on the smoker.
After the pot portion, I knew this was not going to be the final method I choose. The meat had pulled up way too far and two bones fell out. I continued on anyway and added rub for the pit. Took them off after an hour and served.
While the rack looked pretty bad, the 4 of use devoured that shite. Was like a great pork roast. There was none left.
Next, I am going to reduce the pot time by 10 minutes and increase the smoker time. Most are going to hate this whole idea, so I may not follow up.

<---- Ran home at lunch today and put spare ribs on the smoker. Which caused me to sweat like a whore in church. May have to try the instapot ribs for days like this...

As always, ignore the haters. You'll probably get similar responses that sous vide guys get when they post here.

Screw that. Try and report back. I'm definitely intrigued and might try it.

OK, will do. I consider all this testing, so having something good to eat after is just a bonus.

do you have a ninja foodi?
pressure cook the ribs in chicken broth and your fav BBQ sauce with a can of cream of mushroom, a can of cream of chicken for 20ish to 30 minutes.
then air crisp them with liquid smoke at the bottom for about 8 minutes. rub some sauce from the pot on after you drain the pressure cooker pot to caramelize
they fall apart but are so good.
also if you can get the new precooked smithfield ribs it saves all the work-do the crisping part only.
or do all of the above and smoke outside instead of the crisper.

I don't think I can make myself do this.
also, pork rib prices are starting to piss me off.

What temp did you cook the ribs at in the instant pot and the smoker?

Whenever I want ribs during the week I just get a charcoal grill lit for indirect heat and cook for about an hour and a half on the cool side. Ribs taste great and it takes no time at all.

I told my coworker I'm going to start hunting hogs on his land the way meat prices in grocery are heading. The only downside is ammo availability and time involved with hunting and processing.

You can cook them hot and fast and they come out great. Don't need to smoke ribs for 6 hours for them to be tender.
Edit: And it's a better way to cook them than the mush the IP turns them into
