Charles Shaw was selling for $3 last summer in Trader Joe's-Palm Desert..inflation!

It's $2.99 everywhere now. Used to be $1.99. Guess they should really change the name to three-buck chuck.

I would love to see a Trader Joe's in the LSU area! There have also been discussions about a nice, local grocery store as part of the Nicholson Redevelopment project next to campus (LINK ). I went to one of the public meetings in April and most people at the meeting wanted either a Rouses or a Calandro's as part of the Nicholson Redevelopment. There also seems to be a big push for local businesses to fill a lot of the new retail space next to campus. Trader Joe's + Rouses/Calandros =
