I'm VERY glad Robin has FINALLY been sent packing,
i think eli has come a long way... jenn has really gotten frazzled lately, i personally like brian more than mike but i usually hate the cockiest person on the show.
I think kevin's food makes my mouth water the most though and that is usually how i gauge who i want to win. Im rooting for kevin.

Michael reminds me too much of Eminem to like him. I think Kevin is the most gifted chef out of them all. You can tell Bryan knows how to cook a lot of shite really well but lacks in the originality. Michael has the best shot at taking down Kevin in the finale but I think he's going to try to be too revolutionary, and fail. Jennifer and Eli are skilled but can't keep up with the other three.

Ahh so Eli was eliminated just as I suspected. I think Bryan will be next. I think Jennifer is starting to get back into her grove.

What sucks to me, is how the show has gotten almost completely away from giving you any idea as to what actually goes into preparing these dishes.
I think I'm done with this show.
Last night was SOOOOO disappointing on this front. If any episode should have made an effort to focus on what the chefs were actually DOING (why did I apostrophize that word??) you'd think it would have been this one. However, the only insight you got was that Kevin was using a sous vide technique. To set up the "surprise" at the end. No insight at all into what those Voltaggio guys were doing, while they were doing it - nor anyone else. Which, after seeing all the dishes being served, one would think would have been damn interesting.
It's really a shame the direction they've gone, on completely deciding not to provide focus on these peoples' techniques at all.

I agree with Y.A.'s take on the show's turn for the worse. That being said, I'm not going to stop watching it. I still believe it's far better than most of the other reality Food shows. As an example from last night, I thought ti was pretty cool watching Thomas Keller make general comments on food. That's the most I've ever heard him speak.

I'm glad Kevin beat out the guy who's "food he cooks on the weekend"....I don't like that cocky prick.
On that note, yes this show is much more focused on their product placement than showing us HOW the chefs got to where they did with their food. WAYYYY too much commentary from the chefs after the fact about their food that is most likely scripted. Just show me the damn food and tell me how it tastes. Show me how you cooked it....
I loved watching Richard from two? seasons ago because they always showed the crazy things he would do with nitrogen to come up with his dishes.
Dammit Top Chef, last season was the stupid love bullshite, now wayyyyyy too much talky and not enough cooky.

Sadly these are the best chefs I have seen talent wise on Top Chef and we dont get to learn anything from what they are doing. It def has become more of a reality show than a food show competition that it seemed in the past. However I will continue to watch it.

What you guys don't like it when they climb into their Toyota Venzas and cruise down to Whole Foods to grab up some ingredients to cook in the GE Monogram Kitchen, then wrap it all up for tomorrow's meal in the Glad Saver pantry?

Yea I love when the commecials prior to the elimination run 10 mintues..
The hour is now 25 min commecials, 5 min cooking, 10 min of screen shots of sponsors, 10 min of Reality TV and 10 min of judges talk.

It was nice; however, to see Tom C. so complementary of the chefs that are left.....he seems to really enjoy what they cook.

+1000
I hope he goes on to keep beating him. Kevin proves that solid flavors still reign over cooking technique and plating proficiency.
