Maybe the old ground pati for you?

Yes, that is my style. However, I don't like ground pati. Every time I go it is cold. The 2 pounds of shredded cheese they put on the burger isn't even melted. Don't get me started on the cold fries.

It's solid and close to the original but not quite. Price is similar to 5 Guys.

Judice Inn for sure. Recently had a burger from Louisiana Poboys on Pinhook and it was solid.

I'm not going to say that this is one of the absolute best burgers in town, but don't sleep on the burger from Alesi's. Its thick and dense, probably premade, but tastes delicious.

When I go to Alesi's and don't want pizza/Italian fare I always go to the hamburger. Spot on , it's kind of like a meatloaf on a bun but it's pretty good.

And those Alesis' are good people

Yes they are.

But I could never bring myself to eating a burger when I go there.

Absurdly overrated burger.

Re Judice Inn, what makes you say this? I'm curious b/c I can see someone saying it isn't their style or favorite but to call it overrated seems weird.

I think it’s because some people act like it’s the best burger in the world.

Don’t get me wrong, I really like it and it’s one of my favorite burgers in Lafayette, but I can see how some say it’s overrated. Compared to the burger that I’ve had at Au Cheval or Husk, it’s not as good as those.

When I drove by this afternoon, about 1500, there wasn't a car in the lot and not a person inside that I could see. Did it close already ?
