I haven't had it in a while but went today while i was in the area. Damn their fried fish and boudin balls are amazing, but the location blows my mind. I know that it was a nice popular area years ago, but its in the straight up hood now. They expanded their company and have a shipping warehouse for their Louisiana Fish Fry Products. I wish their location was a little more convenient to get to

They still make bank. Likely zero overhead. And you went there. They are doing everything right.

I remember that neighborhood being decent in the 80s but never after. I was surprised they expanded as well but it's probably pretty cheap to run a business right there.

Pizzaliato said why should I move my place to come to you when you already come to me?

That location was great in the 50's to early eighties. After cultha moved in, that part of the town went downhill really fast. Bill and I went to Redemptorist. It's really a shame what was once a vibrant community is now a shithole. Tony's is still located in front of a housing area that was once called Delmont Gardens. Delmont Gardens was the place that people who came from other areas to work at Standard Oil. Once the people were able to move out of North Baton Rouge, they created the 'Burbs" that is Villa Del Ray, Tara and Broadmoor. I'm glad that I now live in Livingston Parish.

I went to Redemptorist, as did my dad and all 5 of his siblings. He grew up in a house on Shelley Street over there. He has always told me he learned to ride his first bike in what is now Delmont Village Shopping parking lot. I don’t recall what he said it was back then.

I'm from Central but we used to go to Delmont Village often. Me and my grandfather used to frequent Howard's on Airline when I was a kid.

I don't care for their crawfish, but the boiled shrimp are delicious.

Except the multiple police officers protecting the parking lot.

If anything, the surrounding area should help confirm that you're about to tear into some good shite

True. I was only looking at lease/mortgage issues.

Maybe they pay security in fresh catfish! Ha

The Pizalotta's sold Louisiana Fish Fry but kept Tony's. Hopefully since that will be their sole focus they will expand out of that area. But it is so close to I-110 and the parking lot is well policed, so I feel safe there, but it's still way off my radar screen.
