Grow the frick up. Believe it or not, these things called HUMANS work in restaurants. And this may come as a complete shock to an apparent impatient dick like yourself, but humans are not imperfect!! Novel idea, I know.
There's nothing you can do but offer to fix your mistake. If you expect no human to ever make a mistake when performing their job, you should eat at home or find a mythical restaurant run by robots.

Please tell us how perfect you are at your job Mr. Attorney that can't afford to buy a decent dutch oven.

I've waited tables before. It's not rocket science.

you never fricked up someones order?
Posted on 12/23/12 at 10:24 pm to Neauxla
So have I. And I've made mistakes. And I can afford a dutch oven.
I'm sure you've made at least one mistake waiting tables if you did it for a long enough period of time.

Dude I forgot shite making a sandwich at home. I forget to take my daily medicine. i forget to switch clothes to the dryer sometimes. Has nothing to do with rocket science. People forget shite.. Misunderstand people.. Etc.
Your troll attempt here is stupid.

I've never gotten someone's order completely wrong except when I had large parties.

I'm not over-reacting like you obviously are. Fact is the restaurant made a mistake. No amount of excuse making will change that.
Yes, it happens. People are fallible, I understand. Does that make it "OK" from the customer's POV? If you think so, fine. I do not.
If it happens morethan once, I move on and I'm sure many are like minded. Tommy's is not notedfor frick-ups that I am aware of. I'm surprised.

You sure are a pissy little woman when someone vents about the service industry. You should relax.

The size of the party doesn't make it any more or less excusable IMO

well shite man maybe the guy was having a bad day and made a mistake. its not like he brought you out the plate and said frick you im giving you this and youre gonna like it. he offered to fix it and you said no. imo this thread would be warranted if he didnt offer to fix the mistake

Doesn't mean he/she didn't feel the same way I did...disappointed. I also worked at Outback, not a nicer place like Tommy's.

IMO the thread is warranted because he is telling us what actually happened. He saidthey offered to "fix" it but he declined. Why everyone is so uptight about the thread is beyond me.

Right
It sucks that he made a mistake but he at least offered to fix it
It happens. It probably won't happen the next time he goes back. Errors like this are pretty much rare and random. It isn't any indicator of the service you would normally expect there.
I understand his disappointment, but get the frick over it lol

I did enjoy my avocado and crab salad after all.

That's a great combo. I love a salad like that in the summertime.

Not to hijack your thread but last night our family was at a restaurant and ordered a pitcher of timber beast. They brought the pitcher and it was evident to us that it was not timber beast. When questioned the waitress checked on it. She came back a few minutes later saying they were out of the timber beast and gave us tallgrass ipa instead. They never told us they were out and asked if we would try something else. What happened to you seemed like a honest mistake. What happened to us seemed like a dishonest mistake. I felt like it was a mistake at the bar and still tipped our waitress fully. She seemed embarrassed once she was aware of what happened.
