Went to dinner w/ my parents and some of their friends tonight and Tommy's got my entree order completely wrong. How the waiter managed to mix up Pompano en papillote and soft shell crab is beyond me! He offered to fix the mistake but I didn't feel like waiting another 10 minutes for my food while everyone else ate.

Change your title. The waiter fricked up, not the kitchen.

Your fault for being passive-aggressive

It's my fault the guy can't take the order of 5 people? Yeah...that's real tough

Either eat the wrong order or wait 10 minutes for them to cook the correct order. Either way, it sucks.

Is there a fricking difference? The whole team sinks or swims together.

Completely different entree, we aren't talking about a miscommunication with cook temp.

Just have another glass of wine knowing they will comp desserts

Offering to fix his mistake and let me sit there waiting for 10 minutes while everyone else ate. Yeah, I think I have the right to complain.

It's pretty sad that you can't even take an order right for 5 people. It wasn't a special order. It wasn't the wrong temperature. It was a completely different item.

I agree with you. The waiter sucked. Shouldn't have taken it like a little woman. Just saying.

And what should I have done? Either way I was going to be unhappy with the outcome. I was not paying for dinner so I wasn't going to make an ordeal about it there.

I was just venting my frustration

That you chose to not have fixed, ate and paid for, for the sole purpose of having something to come on here and bitch about.

If you had said that they got the order wrong and refused to fix it, you would have a case.

Did they have osso bucco tonight?

If not, the lamb is usually legit.

Customer orders "A"

Restaurant brings "B"

seems like a frick-up on the part of the restaurant. Period.

They can offer to "fix" things......they can comp things.....what they cannot do is remove the frick-up.

It happened. Fact.
