a taste test isn't really fair to these beers even... they're so different you could probably tell by looking at them.

Your Three Favorites. Rate them - One, Two, Three.
But my favorite 3 IPAs are probably similar in their taste profile and I probably couldnt say which I like more. It depends on my mood. Like someone else said, a better test would be one of your favorite IPAs and 2 other avg. IPAs.

Okay. See what the Results are.

Would you agree to a "Blind Taste Test"? Amongst Friends?
Top Three Favorites (Lagers, IPAs, Esoterics, etc.). Identical Tasting Vessels, Identical Volumes, Identical Temperatures.
Identify all Three, Specifically, out of Ten Attempts.
Might be Humbling .
Would love to do this. and not sure why it would be humbling. I actually argue that BMC drinkers cant differentiate light beers, so why would I proclaim to be able to identify craft beers?

Joe, I've thougt about this some more. You know what, you're right. There is no difference whatsoever between Bud and Stone. It's all just beer my man. I think I'm going to purchase a nice bottle of strawberry hill on the way home from work tonight. It's all just wine after all.

I could definitely tell the difference between an excellent IPA and Jockamo.

not sure why it would be humbling.

Without a doubt.
I don't really categorize my favorites within a style because like Zappas said it all depends on the setting and my mood.

I don't have to. I've had Jockamo. I've had Dogfish Head 90 minute. If I did a blind taste test between the two I could easily identify which is which. There's a vast difference between the two.

You could tell before it even hit your lips. Aroma would be a dead giveaway.

To be fair, 90 Minute is a double IPA... to be fair you'd have to put Jockamo up against the 60 Minute. And maybe throw in a Sweetwater IPA while you're at it.
GOOD LUCK NOW BEER MAVEN!

Well I don't know about all that.
You've had a blacked out sig/avi for years now... You should get that looked at.
I just wanted to say "Mavens"
