I ate there last week and thought it sucked too. Small portions, and food just tasted old... as in not cooked that day. I too ate the ribs and brisket combo.

I have met Kevin once before and found him to be first class.

I like it when someone responds to criticism like this. One can have a bad experience at any place. Could be a variety of reasons. But the way you responded to critique was nice. There is another BR institution, whose manager posts here and he goes into attack mode when his place is mentioned poorly.

Ribs are expensive and you know the prices upfront, so really the only complaint here is to SOS the salads.

I really like the beef ribs at TJ Ribs, but they are very overpriced. You get a nice slab (2) of beef ribs, but shite, it cost $22.95 for two lbs of ribs (when a good part of that is the big arse bone). They are so good, but over priced and one time I got a really skimpy portion and I was pretty ticked. Fat people problems, fo sho

I ate lunch there around 12:30 for my first time. My wife had been there before and after asking about good restaurants on here we decided to take our 6yr old daughter there. Everything on our order was very good. I also have to give props to our waiter Jared. The food was great and took leftovers for after the game which I thought tasted better then. My first experience was good so I will definitely be back.

For those of y'all harping on the 2004 thing, how many of y'all actually go back to a place after a real bad experience? I don't think many of y'all would... And, thanks for jumping on the defensive about the place, just proves you food snobs only are a step above the ignorant trolls on the rant. You missed the entire point of my post entirely, which was, If someone would have been man enough to step up and take corrective action back then, as Beauxnes did this time, I might have given them another shot, but they didn't.

For the simpleminded who can't read that far, I congratulated Beauxnes for stepping up and making something right, as opposed to the way it was done in the past...

Well first off the toddler you speak of must be Close to driving now. Second from your post forward I dont see anyone jumping to the restaurants defense, just a few posts (mine included) that more or less point out that it is an eight year old grievance and probably should have been voiced maybe say about eight years ago.

No one missed the point. We understand you got pissed because you had to take mom, sister and sisters toddler (no mention of toddlers father so I assume that's piss in the Cheerios) to dinner and were not allowed to sit after making a phone call ad as you said its hard to take a toddler places or make them wait therefore you won't give them another chance because you were mislead and abused by a manager.

Now we are simpleminded food snobs a slight notch above the ignorant trolls on the rant.

I'm a simpleminded food snob with a toddler who has no problem putting her back in the car seat and moving on to the next restaurant or holding her on my lap while waiting on a table. I'm also a simpleminded food snob whose only memories of 2004 are that I made more money than I did in 2003 and think I had my gallbladder removed just before the Alabama game. Maybe that was 2002. I'm not sure.

One thing I am sure of is I just had, in late 2012, an anal retentive message board poster call me a simpleminded food snob which I believe to be an oxymoron.

I'd be willing to bet that toddler nephew of yours does his best to avoid having dinner with his Uncle Tampon.

I don't agree with the snob stuff NT is saying (although O2 has harmed his reputation by not eating at Arby's).

But despite disagreeing with my buds Otis and OG, I'm siding with NT on this one.

He isn't rehashing some 2004 incident as a current complaint. He is using a past example to illustrate how a manager's attitude and response can affect your view of a place.

Some of you (not directed at Marty, Otis and OG) just like to pile on. It's the rant way.

Not advisable.

I have definitely experienced this!

And for the record, I fully admit that I have piled on just for fun from time to time

Agreed. But, I am a food snob...a bare-footed, mouth-breathing, redneck...but a food snob.
