I am the owner of TJ RIbs Acadian. We were shut down by the health department because we are installing a new hot water heater. Our old one failed, and the new one is currently being installed during hours of operation.

I appreciate the comments and concerns everyone has made about the TJ Ribs concept. We do take our business very serious.

If anyone has any issue with Ribs or Ninfas, please feel free to email me at burke@ribandchophouse.com.

We have the Coaches Show tonight, and plan on being open by 530. The hot water heater was shipped from New Orleans this morning, and the plumbers are waiting on its arrival to install.

Thank you,

Burke Moran

Glad I didn't win the TJ Ribs lucky seat prize at da Box this weekend... I'd be pissed.

I'd be more pissed if I had won the case of Powerade. Who the frick wants to carry a case of P-ade to the car?

I get off at Acadian for every baseball home game. The 99 cent margarita sign was still on the side of the building as of yesterday.

I think most restaurants fall into that category. Outback Steakhouse(national chain) is one I can factually tell you is NOT what it used to be 20 years ago when it came to town in terms of portions, value, etc. But quality has been consistent.

Ninfa's lost its luster in the mid-'90s.

they must really have some bad arse shite going on in the kitchen to get shut down...i remember hunan got some negative remarks a few years ago, but i think they resolved those problems on their next inspection.

Have you ever considered that the portions may only look smaller relative to your body growing in mass?

That's why I mentioned Outback in that vein. Ninfas and Outback were Godsends to the dead dining industry in BR at the time. But they were opening 2 years to the explosion we saw and continue to see 18 yrs later.

No. I worked there. The plates are actually smaller for entrees and salads. I promise you. It's not that I'm just a fatty.

Eta: that said. The Outback Special is still a GREAT value for steak in a restaurant these days.

I was thinking that, too.

I've seen pictures of some that "passed" and was pretty grossed out.
