I wasn't going to say anything, but fried corn covered in oil is probably more of a culprit than a little salt

Truth.

I'm with you on this. I noticed as I got older certain joint pains with the consumtion of salty foods, especially crawfish. Now, I'll never give up one of my favorite foods, and just deal with 2 days of issues. Everything else is very lightly salted or no salt for me. Once you are used to a low salt diet, you don't seem to miss it at all. We have not had a salt shaker on our table for years. Black Pepper, all day everday, but not salt.
And Mingo, please link the research you have done from any doctor/medical source that says unlimited salt is a good thing. Thank You.

But you’ll find a way to eat some fried chips lol
Touche. I really don't chow down on chips like most people I know, but once in a while it's nice to have some salsa. And bean dip and hummus are pretty healthy snacks.

Tortillas with some oil aren't the culprit - salt is.

ETA: As far as the study linked, for healthy people, the horrors of salt are way overrated, I agree. It is only after I developed several compounding conditions that it became a problem for me. But now, it most definitely is a problem.

Depends on what kind you're eating.

It's not the corn fried in chemical goop, which we know causes inflammatory responses, it's the salt.

Fried corn chips are very low on the nutrition spectrum. In moderation it’s fine but if you are having health issues, you’d be shocked at the benefits of cutting out food like this all together

hummus

2 tablespoons of hummus 130mg sodium

bean dip

200mg per 2 tablespoons.

Both fairly high salt snack unless you are eating very little, not to mention many brands will add salt

Both of your examples are for commercial brands - I make my own. And I don't eat much anyway.
