Just having fun, you should know that...most know JC for sure. Not many know Market St.
So Market will stay open?

I've eaten at the one on Essen a couple of times. Good, not great.
And the service was downright atrocious each time.

Many times, I look at it another way. This may be the first real job these kids ever had.

yes. Essen is apparently still open.
I have no idea how
That place is the slowest place I've ever been to in my life
Went once with a group of 6 people and it took us 2 hours...and not because we were hanging around or slow to order. It took them 2 hours to get us a round of beers, apps, burgers, second round of beers in the middle of that somewhere, and close out our check.
Absolutely pathetic.

They should hire the little people from Benny's.
Those guys hustle like it's Sean Payton's car they're cleaning.

If I'm craving a burger I always head to Mason's.
That said, I have a $25 GC for Times I got for Xmas. I better use it on the Essen location soon!

Zombie .. I liken this failure to a larger scale Johnny D's .. Gross capital, personnel, and protocol mismanagement running well supported ideas/concepts into the ground .. I think yesterday Will Cover said that, as a company, The Times had over 260 employees on their payroll .. That is mind boggling for a company that size .. Throw ownership buying $700K houses and cigarette boats on top of that and you realize that there is only so much profit in hamburgers ... a flawed business model ..
just don't wanna see SE BR erroneously take the blame for this ...

I really like the Essen location. Only one I've been to. Fried pickles and Tiger Burger is a damn good way to spend a fat binge. It's near the top of my list of best burgers in BR and it's a nice different type of place for that area. Hope nothing happens to that one.

I agree with you 100%.
I've eaten at Times a few times. I can't say the service was ever terrible (like BJ's Brewhouse). Their was just nothing impressive about the food. It specialized in burgers and it clearly was no where near the best BR had to offer. If I don't go to Mason's, I would then cool my own before going to Times.
It always seemed busy when I would drive by it. It's pretty suprising to see a place like that go down (not a small, new restaurant).
Why can't Joe's Crab Shack or Golden Corral follow it's lead?

Will have to tell my cousin. He used to own them, but sold his last year or year before and opened a restaurant in Hattisburg.

I would venture to guess that your cousin already knows ..

I think management had a lot to do with it.. But they just got rid of essen management and brought over Jones creek management to work at the Essen one.. I have went to both... Jones creek location had much better service.
