That's what I was about to say...I go there to drink at the bar from time to time and there are always people eating.

Had no idea they were in danger of closing.

Several months ago, the local owners sold 3 of their locations to a company out of Florida. I believe the only one they had kept was the Jones Creek location.

I am surprised that they closed. It seems to always have decent to good business. I've only eaten there, twice, though. When I pass by, the lot always looked like it was in no need of cars!

Business Report says something about a lease dispute.

Heard the same thing on Channel 9. We eat there frequently because of the location. Midway point between the job and home.

We always ate there on Wednesdays (since my daughters dance class is right there), The place was always at least half full.

Times Grill served all domestic draft (Bud, Bud Light, Ultra, ETC., $1.50 ALL DAY EVERY DAY.

You dont find those kind of prices on beer in Baton Rouge ANYWHERE these days. Maybe on certain happy hours...but not regular price.

I understand the point of trying to get people in the doors with your cheap prices, but The only way you can sell your Beer that cheap with those small margins and survive as a business is if you have a thriving food business with alcohol just being icing on the cake.

The is something Times Grill did not have and this is a BIG reason IMO for them going out of Business.

Lease Dispute=Not being able to pay on your lease...then disputing the bank when they take it away from you.

Times is nothing notable, more for the people who think hamburgers answer their gastronomic needs. However, it was a lease issue, not a volume problem.

If you can eat the shite that Arby's sells you're tougher than I am. I have no idea how they stay in business.

I can't eat it. Just pointing out that Arby's has deeper pockets than whoever owned the Times Grill.

At one time, maybe, maybe not.

The owners of Times Grill, again at one time, had 265 employees on payroll. The local owner of Arby's was not even close to this number.

I like the one Essen.

Good burgers and nachos, plus you can sit by the window and eat while you watch the little people wipe down the cars at Benny's.

Big big money mismanagement issue at the jones creek location ... had the same problems on the northshore and Essen is right behind them ... just over expanded and ownership lived way too high on the hog .. certainly a black eye SE BR doesn't deserve ..
