So two years ago you started out with Abita ? Nice most people start off with complete dog shite.
Are you still sore over the Taco Tico comment? I was joking around. I've never been there. I just didnt want to dignify a runningtiger thread with a serious response.

Thanks for the list. I'm surprised there's nothing from Atlanta on the list.

I knew you had never been there. I get tired of reading crap like this from posters on here that have no clue. I'm fine with people's opinion if they have one from experience. But to come here and post garbage about blank food or drink and have never experienced it is BS.
But seriously what beer were you drinking in your early 20s.

From Avenue's facebook page:

I wish these lists weren't characterized as the " BEST". I'd much prefer a " Thrillists favorite beer bars". I can think of a dozen places that should be on this list but aren't ... That said it's nice to be remembered and recognized for what we do. My personal list would also include The Porter Bar and Brick Store Pub in Atlanta, Mahogany Bar in Hattiesburg, Armsby Abbey in Worchester Mass, Spuyten Duvil in Brooklyn, AleWife in Queens, The Petrol Station and Gingerman in Houston, The Birch in Norfolk, Bavarian Lodge in Lisle Illinois.... And that's just the US bars...

I agree with her, and it's not often I say that. The Porter is pretty fricking awesome. I've heard good things about Brick Store, but never made it there.

I started consistently drinking microbrews around 21. Stuff like Flying Dog ( I was in Tennessee) and then generally available stuff like Sierra Nevada and Shiner. Of course, I was in college so the majority of my intake was cheap domestics, but I got burned out of the usual stuff pretty quickly. I had been drinking Abita since I was 18 and was sick of most of their products like Amber.
Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't show up to parties with a growler of some hard to find stuff. I just liked to try new stuff when we went out.

And you wonder why we never invite you to parties.

craft and growler for dallas????
that is a head scratcher
It's as good as any of the top ones in Dallas. We've been going there a little more lately. May be going Wed. for an Ol'Oi tapping keep the glass. And they are the only place carrying some pretty small NTX brewers stuff.

Craft Pride is cool, but it's interesting that they would choose it over Banger's, which is on the same block.
I was thinking the same. But I would rate Whip In ahead of them both when you consider it's funky atmosphere with owner's who work at the bar and have their own micro-brew offerings that are kick arse. And great food. Bangers and Craft Pride are a bit too clean and corporate for my personal taste. I would put Easy Tiger and Draught House ahead of The Rainey St. places too. But it's all personal preference and opinion.

Brick Store left off is a travesty. Hell it probably influenced 1/2 the places on that list.
