Albertsons had no limit on whole ribeyes at the grand opening of the store near our house. They had choice for 3.99/ lb. My husband and his friend took off work and bought all they had in the case and the back. Butcher nor manager said anything but thanks. My sister went to the same store after work and they gave her rainchecks.

I'm just thinking that some poor people would like a steak and don't have the massive amounts of money you have to purchase thick steaks.
Leave the poor people's thin steaks alone you thin steak thief.
If Walmarks doesn't have the thick steaks you want, leave the thin ones in the meat counter for the poor people willing to spend all they can afford on that thin steak and go somewhere that only sells the thick steaks you want.
My experience is that Sam's sells thick steaks, as do most of the better grocery stores and butcher shops.

You have some weird tastes if you do not like skirt steak. Cook skirt steak on cast iron. Fast and simple.

My parents get these sometimes for quick suppers. Neither of them eat very much at night, and it's kind of the beef equivalent of a thin cut pork chop. Mom cooks them quick and high in a cast iron skillet...not bad. But nobody's pretending it's an ideal steak! She also uses them for a great steak salad she makes, and stir fry for just the two of them.
