Not small town, but Po' Boy Lloyd's in Baton Rouge has some of the best fried shrimp, seafood gumbo, fried onion rings, raw oysters (EVER), and the Mississippi Mud Pies are to die for. The guy who owns it, Fred is a real nice guy and will stop and talk to anybody. Just about the best service you will find anywhere. Live Bands every Friday night.

Lol, there's not really much of a selection in Bastrop.

I guess more popular small places are: P.T's Eat-A-Bite (around the square, good for breakfast), Slayden's BBQ , Old Hardware Fish House No. 2, and Lucky Village (best Chinese in town, imo). I'm sure I'm missing a couple of other local stuff.

There's also a couple of mexican restaurants and a couple of other places but they aren't that great. We have a Johnny's Pizza as well.

And this is assumming these places are still open. I haven't been home in a few months and things in Bastrop have a tendency to close down.

Kim's Chinese Restaurant in New Iberia. It's a small buffet but everything is amazing on it. It's on the corner of Ambassador Doyle and HWY 14
