Why is that so shocking? Ballsack wasn't enjoyable for me as far as the tacos go. One was inedible. The salsa was good. The entree was decent.

Rum House has never been "gross" for me. But never even close to hot. I said that the other day to someone from NOLA, and they kept saying the NOLA location must be different than BR because they are always piping hot there. I wouldn't know since I haven't been to that location.

Is this true?

Johnny Sanchez is so much better than Barf House, but neither is close to best in town.

Rum House in BR isn't even the best tacos in Baton Rouge. Lava Cantinas new Taco Menu are far and away the best in town right now.

That list is absurd. A real list the top 10 would all be shitty holes in the wall run by Mexicans all in Texas. It's an absolutely ridiculous list.

As a Houstonian I'm actually offended by it

I honestly can't remember what I ordered the 2nd time at JS.. but it wasn't tacos.

You're probably right. I think I was just excited and had high expectations for the tacos at JS.. and was let down.

You have to get the Carne Asada tacos at Js. What did you get that was inedible? La lengua? Goat?

I agree about hole in the walls ran by Mexicans but you can find those outside of Tejas. Cali could put some up on that list for sure.

That taco looks like a chore to eat. My mouth is only so big.

Would I rate Rum House the best? Hell no. The taco truck up my street makes better tacos. Are Rum House tacos good, imo? Yes. Worth the wait? No.

I did. Every bite had gristle. The fish tacos were hands down the most foul thing I have ever put in my mouth. The pork belly weren't terrible, but they weren't at all memorable either.

Those fish tacos still give me nightmares.

For good measure, the higest rated tacos in all of Houston are from Tacos Tierra Caliente

Onions and cilantro. It doesn't get much better. I may have to go today now.

Take that rational perspective somewhere else a-hole.

They're good, but probably not even the bet in BR.

Huh. It's always been nothing but tender meat for me.

A little hyperbolic, huh? Although, I've asked about them before and the staff advised against them. Never tried it.

Yeah, that's my second favorite.

It definitely is, FWIW. Very sloppy, too. A definite lean-way-over-your-plate-when-you-take-a-bite-er

Yea agreed. I've had some legit tacos in Cali. The ones that bothered me the post are all the Indianas, West Virginias, etc
