The bar decor is classic.
Yeah the food is mediocre but the bar there is like stepping into a time machine which is pretty cool

Can not stand the Owner. Close friend worked there who he would rub on her arse and group her. Cops said no proof and he uses his relationship with in Livingston Parish to get away with alot. As it turns out she was not 1st, I doubt she was last.

My cousin took me to my first LSU game in the early 80's. We made the obligatory stop at Pastime, where it seemed more like a gathering of friends. He bought pizza in the chaotic rush before the game, but spoke to at least 5 people he knew there. He was dressed in slacks and a collared shirt, and carried an ice chest with him into the stadium.

Back in the 70s, every Saturday
-went home with my grandparents after getting dropped off at their grocery store on East blvd
-waited in the car while my grandfather went in to pastime to get a large ground meat pizza (we weren’t allowed in because it was a bar)
-dinner of pizza and homemade olive salad

What is its rating? Most everyone on here said they pizza wasn’t good. Kinda seems like it’s rated where it should be, no?

The food, particularly the pizza, is nothing special. But it’s not terrible either. For me, it’s a spot to grab an occasional lunch (almost always a sandwich or poboy of some sort) and many times a quick beer at the bar before a 6:00 pm LSU basketball game.
Don’t go in expecting the best meal you’ve ever had. Just appreciate the fact you are doing something many generations of Baton Rougeons (generally associated with an LSU sporting event) have done for decades
