I'm talkin' 'bout Shaft.
CAN YOU DIG IT!
He's a complicated man

SHAFT757!
Fish & chips, yum....Shaft, make sure you hire some eye-candy waitresses.

With three posts, all with inside info on a venue that hasn't even opened yet, I figured he'd be the one to ask.
Degas' Monday schedule:
1) Wake up
2) Call the Londoner to see if they're open on Sundays

Um, sorry I do not know about the Pogues. or who/whatever. But I hope you find sanctuary.
Yes they will be open on Sundays, but I'm sure you all know the laws, the sales will work themselves out & determine that.
Eyecandy?..... lol go & find out. I really can't say. for numerous reasons but I'm sure you won't be let down.
But for the record hitting on the hired help is certainly flawed, often annoying, and sometimes creepy.

I find myself highly amused watching douchebags at the bar trying to run game on female bartenders .. the goods parlay it into some pretty nice tips ..

yea not as bad as strippers though, but occasionally it does work. they have heard it all before. but closed mouths don't get fed.

"nothing ventured nothing gained"...i need to have someone to listen to me when i get a little drunk and start talking about how bad i'm being treated at home, and how they could make me feel better.
shaft, you should seriously consider advertising with td.com.

I'll check this place out (when does it open?), as the entertainment options aren't the best on this side of town.
Chimes East is always so freaking packed on the weekends, it seems like someone with a decent business plan could easily come and tap in to that customer base. Walk-ons tries to, but the food is not nearly as good and the design of their building sucks balls compared to Chimes East, which is really well done.
I think a "Bulldog East" with a better menu would do well to compete on that side of town. I'm looking forward to the Sammy's in Prarieville, but last I heard their restaurant design was rejected by government officials and they needed to come up with a new scheme. So, it'll be at least a couple years before that project ever comes to realization.

try masons. happy hour m-f 3-7 half off everything in the bar. bad arse burgers, flat screens, big bar, golden tee, patio outside for smokahs. idk if you have kids are not but you can totally get away with bringing them there if you want to hang out and don't have a sitter.

Passed by today and it looked like they were taking bricks off the wall and maybe finishing the deck. Ready to give this place a try.

Where exactly on Sherwood? I don't know where Komado's is, or was?
I'm gonna try this place out.

:0? what would I need to advertise? I am simply discussing a new pub in a thread that was started by someone else. Its not like I said, "go into the pub any night this week and ask for the tall clean cut white guy" .... right? I never said anything like that I just stated acquired common knowledge to interested individuals. like this...."They said they will open on thanksgiving day at 6" (non-biased, informative & factual) :)

i agree .. you have almost 1/5 of the population of incorporated and unincorporated BR living east of airline highway and south of I-12 .. and there are pockets of diverse age groups out here .. the Londoner will do really well out here as long as it doesn't turn emo cliquish ...

I'm very curious about this place as well, I will check it out soon.
It's nice to have some more options closer to home when you live on that side of town

Degas - i couldn't find a number in the interwebs to confirm they're open. Is 11/22 the date? I've been watching this thing go up for the past 3 months. I pass it up on my way to work everyday.
