They had quite a few good looking girls last night. Service was a little lackluster, but we weren't in a rush so it wasn't too big a deal.
Eta: agreed the servers aren't much to look at but the patrons on the whole are solid looking.

Well no shite. But if so many people are complaining in this thread about it, it seems like something that is so easily remedied would be taken care of by the owner, who is actively pimping his place in this thread.

I was told that they are in the process of fixing it to match the station that the other location's use. Though, I'm not sure what type of music it will be.

The Kinks, The Ramones, and The Rolling Stones. The Euro rock music definitely went better with the overall feel of the place.

Understandable. That is a long, grueling process. Hopefully they can overcome the adversity and get through this.

A friend and I went last night, b/c I figured, after 13 pages of positive responses on TD.com, the place must be legit. Overall, good experience, a few blips. While we were waiting for our friends, we ordered a beer upstairs. They were out of a couple, but the bartenders were gracious, helpful and friendly. They allowed my friend to sample several beers.
We then headed downstairs to play some darts. We set our drinks on one of the bar tables closest to the dart boards. Now, the restaurant is very nearly empty, and the bar area wasn't full. In the middle of our game, one of the waiters starts picking up our stuff from the table. We said "Hey, that's ours." He replies "Oh, well, did someone seat you here, b/c this is my table?" I said that we had erroneously made the assumption that the bar area tables were "seat yourself", and that we had more people coming, and would be ordering drinks/food (AKA WE WILL BE TIPPING YOU!!!). My explanation did not seem to phase him, and he continued to move our things. He placed our stuff on a high chair, so I asked another waitress if we could have one of the other tables right by the darts. I told her the same thing I told the jackass (that we would be drinking/dining) and she said of course, b/c apparently she actually wanted to make money. She was great, and we had a good time.
Drinks were fine, we only got apps (cheese fries, chips and salsa to nibble on, both were fine). The people we met got fish and chips, and one of the guys got something that looked like a beef pot pie. All said that their meal was good.
Everyone at the table (6 of us), definitely noticed the music. It should be changed. Like everyone has said, Stones, Pogues, etc.
After the minor incident with the clueless waiter, I do think they need to realize that the tables closest to the dart boards should be for the patrons playing darts, should they get there first. It was just weird that this guy didn't want us at his table, even when we told him we would be doing more than just taking up his table with already purchased drinks. Maybe he was just a moron.
Overall, our group liked it, especially being able to play darts, and all said they would return.

liz, a similar thing happened to me. Everyone was polite, but I did feel awkward having a tab open at the bar where I ate at and then wanting to bring a beer that I'd already purchased over to the dart boards for a game. I should be able to buy some suds at the bar and then have the option to play golden tee, darts, or sit on a couch if I want.
I can tell you right now that you won't see me eating fried finger foods while playing darts, which means that if I do decide to order food and play darts on any given visit, I'll be enjoying my experience in two different waiter's sections on one tab.

I think the problem right now is determining whether the Londoner is a restaurant or a bar. Both times I have went I have gone for a bar first, restaurant second. However, both times it felt as though the waiter assumed I was there to dine.
I feel the Londoner needs to give the bar-goer a little more freedom. Just my two cents. Still, a great place and I will continue to eat and drink.

Is there a bar in the upstairs? I haven't gone up there yet.

Yep, the upstairs is pretty cool if you're looking to eat and drink.
Someone commented earlier about going there to eat, so the music didn't make a difference to them. Maybe I'm just old school, but I go to a restaurant/pub/whatever for an experience. If I want to just eat I can do that at home.
The total experience includes appetizers, drinks, atmosphere, food, and music. The Londoner has everything nailed down tight except for music, which is a very important part of the restaurant/pub theming. I know I'm repeating things I've said in this thread, but the Londoner simply becomes just another restaurant if they keep playing Milli Vanilli, and other garbage music.

And the music is the easiest thing to fix

So did Matt from Dallas have his hand in this or did he just sell them the name?
