Nope lol you must have been downstairs. Not the Emu either

yeah .. i was downstairs .. some dude at the bar asked him if he could find a game for him on TV and the dude sort of snarled at him ... the little blonde chick behind the bar was pretty cool though .. i didn't go upstairs last night .. just additional dining room up there ?? another bar ?

my only possible critique for the place from a business standpoint is they may wanna keep an eye on the payroll expenses .. i know they are just opening and want to make positive first impressions, but they had a shite ton of employees running around there last night ... i think they had more people running around in there than BJ's Brewhouse has .. and it is maybe half the size ...

but again, the bangers and mash were excellent and the bass was ice cold .. college hoops on TV .. i was a happy camper ...

Well, there is a reason I am not saying much. But the right people are probably reading all of this (and that is NOT me) so all of ya'll issues are being heard. Like I said I wish i knew how to private message someone.....
yea upstairs is set up just like the downstairs room(full bar) - golden tee & darts. Maybe a few more booths than the bar area downstairs. & there is access to a balcony for the smokers so they don't have to trek up & downstairs before & after smoking.

& thats the reason(way too many servers) Dajackson's experience was unacceptable. Baby steps man....it's a work in progress. I understand his frustration but I'm sure everyone up there appreciates everyones patience.

I probably won't get to make it there until Sunday, but just reading the responses, it looks like LPG is a much better choice than Walk-On's.

went in there tuesday night. Has a red and black interior (kinda reminded me of the overlook hotel in the shining) 32 beers on tap. Cheese fries were good. Hand cut. But not $9 good. Nothing is more than $13. Food is a bit pricey. Example, 3 stuffed jalapenos w/ ranch for $7. The interior wasnt quite done yet but it has a cool vibe. I wish they would keep kids out though. And maybe get rid of the wait staff after 9. Makes it too formal. This will be a good place for people in southeast BR who dont feel like fighting traffic to get to the bulldog.

night and day from a food standpoint .. just a much more varied menu, skillz .. much larger beer selection .. i just join other posters in hoping that the little sub 25 year old punk crowd doesn't try to overrun and ruin this place ..

I almost never . . . I mean almost never . . . ask for separate checks in a "sit down" restaurant with table service. It's just silly. You can do the math quicker and easier. Plus, nine out of ten times we just divide the damned thing equally. BFD.

we need to talk about the music, to me it can make or break a place. when i was there (around 6pm or so) 103.3 was playing.
I HATE that station, you guys have to consider satellite radio or musak, or even internet radio, i can send you a list of radio stations that would fit like a glove for the place....

but for the love of london bridge, don't make a habit of playing 103.3!!
thanks

The true quality pubs don't have music at all, and get upset if you ask.

That's one of my few complaints about The Bulldog... having to yell over the music.

If you make it like a bar, you'll get a bar crowd.

If you make it a "pub and grill" you'll get that crowd.

went there for lunch, went back later for drinks after work.

enjoyed many kilt lifters and the braised steak flank sandwich w/ peppers was delicious. fries were a pleasant surprise; very tasty.

atmosphere was enjoyable, music selection wasn't the greatest but we were watchin college bball anyways.

will return a bunch and spread the word around the office.

looking forward to some brunch action with EPL on the screens on some future saturdays...

Tonight should be a good crowd in there I would assume

One thing I can agree on is too many servers standing around.. Great for the customers, but probably not smart as far as business goes.. I'm sure waiters and waitresses don't want to only have 2 tables an hour...

I'm sure it's probably just because of the first week...

I did feel badly for one of the servers. I started out at the bar ordering food and drinks with my tab open there, when a bloke challenged me to a game of darts. It turns out that the dart boards were in another waiter's section so he wasn't making anything on the two of us setting our drinks on the table as we played.

Another thing that I like about the place is that they started a tab for me at the bar without holding onto my ID, like some other places do. I've actually paid out in cash once but forgot that I gave them my ID a couple hours before that and had to go back the next day to get it, all because I couldn't start a tab without one.

I love TD for various reasons, but this was one of the best suggestions I've listened to. The food is amazing. I got the fish and chips which was the best I've ever had stateside. Other than being in England itself i haven't had it this authentic, plus you can tell it was fresh.

I ordered a London Burger to go and had a few bites on the way back to work and it was awesome, and again you can tell it's fresh. The fries were good, fresh, but not unlike other places I've had them.

The architecture was pretty cool too. I would only suggest a little more hardwood without so much of the black painted wood like the beams.

Now to the negatives since I've heard the guys running it look here. The music needs to either be authentic European (present day or English Pub Style) or nothing at all. I like listening to 103.3 but it ruined the feel of the place.

My last negative which is something they can't help is parking. With Hunan and Kamados in the same place the parking will get out of hand quick, even with the rear parking.

I have never written a review of a place, but after seeing it here I couldn't help myself. I can't wait to try the other menu items, but so far this place is excellent.
