I think a Courtyard brewpub type place could definitely work at the right location in BR, say mid-city or near the Perkins overpass.

If BMoney and S14 opened a 20-tap bar at Perkins Overpass, and they were selling permanently reserved seats at the bar (available if youre not there), I would buy at nearly any price

They should have 3 BMC taps, but just put thier homebrews on the lines. If you don't say the "password" when ordering, the bartender just tells you they are out right now.

Ok, I'm just making sure. Hopefully the seal is good on that one. Had the last of it this weekend and it was still tasty as long as you like sour and ginger.

I don't know if they have a kitchen. I think Punchers briefly served food. I imagine building a small kitchen would probably pay for itself fairly quickly. Or work out a deal with IPO where people order off a limited menu, they cook the order at IPO and the dish gets pushed through an opening between the two places.

small kitchen to basically fry stuff that Punchers had. IPO is the landlord of that location now, so I doubt any food goes in there to compete.

just get 20 really good taps and keep rotating them

How do you people think beverage distribution works exactly? To actually get the "Really good stuff" you have to put at least 20 taps of basic BMC stuff on and sell it. Mockler, BR Beer, Glazers, etc... get a limited amount of the good stuff from the breweries and cherry pick the bars that get to sell it. For instance, if I wanted a keg of Bourbon County Stout and didn't have any other Goose Island on tap, too damn bad, it goes to the people down the street that did. You have to play ball with the BMC guys in order to get the taps you really want.

You pay money to the distributor to bring you kegs. Working with the breweries can get kegs sent to you.

You don't have to fill taps with BMC.

Do his other bars do well enough to necessitate another establishment? seems like typical BR overkill

You're absolutely right. Someone asked about Hueys. They aren't failing. But walk in there any night that isn't Friday or Saturday. I've not only seen it slow; I've seen it with not one single patron.

The employees must not even go there to drink
