They're known for their hush puppies. The boudin omelette or club sandwich is pretty good.

Boudin Egg Rolls
Grilled Gator
crawfish cheese fries
Crawfish mac n cheese.
Spinach & artichoke dip

^^^One of my favorite place for appetizers... Can’t go wrong with any of the above + a draft beer. All of the entree’s are usually solid too. I like the T-bird sandwich or Catfish Perdu.

They better sell some shite b/c the price of this place has to be $$$$, from the pictures it's beautiful. I went to LSU but never ate at the Chimes while I was there.

I went to the Chimes all the time when I was at LSU. Mostly to drink and see bands. The Chimes was a tiny hole in the wall back then.

Yep, it was a hole in the wall. Never knew the thing grew into a huge restaurant. Maybe Louie's will come to Lafayette too

I ate there a few years ago and it took me a minute to find the new entry. I stood at the corner wondering if they had moved.

A couple of folks mentioned the gator. Not sure about the Lafayette location, but in Baton Rouge they would make an off menu blackened alligator poboy.

Anything but the shrimp and grits, at least from the Covington location. Also, don’t end up on the balcony where waitresses forget you are there. The Chimes can put out good food, it just depends on the day of the week and location.
