I used to enjoy Mandina's for the nostalgia, since I grew up going there frequently. One of my best childhood friends is well connected politically, if on one of my NO trips we happen to lunch at Mandina's, one of the Landrieus's always seems comes to the table and ruin the mediocre food.

Well apparently numerous others - both here and on other boards - disagree w/ your assessment. No offense, but based on your preferences you don't come across as much as a food expert. But hey man, enjoy your Mosca's and New Orleans bbq -- and Flemings.

I never said that anyone's list was "bad." To each his own. I just find it hypocritical that he ridiculed my list, which others have agreed is solid, but yet I can't say anything about his?

A better question is why do you continue to go out of your way to let everyone know how terrible moscas was the 2x you ate there 15 years ago

Went back to Mosca’s a few years ago to try it again - the crab salad, the oysters, the chicken, and all the other hyped “must-haves” I was told - and once again, it was merely OK.
