Agreed with this too. It's just so lacking in any sort of flavor. Tried a bottle this year and I didn't finish it.

Agree. I've got 3 of them in the fridge left over from a sixer I bought for the wife. They will be there a long time.

Y'all tried the Sante Fe one yet? Grabbed it at Alexanders the other day. Pretty crisp and easy drinking. Don't remember it being super malty. Seemed sort of sweet though on the finish. Maybe that's the malts...

Not a bad one though. Time to start making a run through all of them though.

I remember Paulaner Oktoberfest being one of the first I tried ever... don't see that on the shelves around here...

I've had some Sam Adams Oktoberfest beers in past years that I thought were good, but I have to say I was really disappointed in the SA 2017 Oktoberfest.

I had it last year; it was good. Like you said, it was easy to drink and less malty than most Marzen beers. I need to try this year's crop.

I got some of that at Calandro's Perkins a couple weeks ago. It was a lighter Marzen style than something like the Urban South or Saint Arnold.

The Weihenstephaner Festbier is great. It's a true festbier, not a marzen. But dang, they're proud of it. It's $13-14 a six pack everywhere. Give me the Sierra Nevada at $8-9 over that one.

Last year, Bell's was pretty good. Where have you seen it?

St. Arnold is fantastic.

Went with my sons to Monday night football to a local sports bar they had Sam Adams October fest on sale for the game 2.00$ for a 22 oz mug. I consumed several and thought they were good course those of you who know me know as long as its cold cheap and has no strange ingredients I like it.
