How often does Whole Foods purvey this mythical offering?

also if he had it as a sample, isn't safe to say he only tried the meat and not an actual burger?

Sammy's deli has a really good burger, it's 3/4 of a pound and its only $8.95 which is on par with a company burger and cheaper than many others.

The OP was the one who directed me to Sammy's. But they have so many other things on the menu, plus the burger has a 20-minute cook time (even has it on signs when you order) so it makes it hard to grab for a quick lunch.

That was going to be my next question. Do they just smoke ground beef patties and then break them up into little pieces to serve as the samples?

Port of Call should be in this list. I take friends here all the time. Always a great burger.

It's a top ten burger, but the new places are sure doing a great job of topping it.

His food lists, based only on the place and not the extra drivel that goes along with it, are exponentially better than his movie reviews...

But on burgers, there are very few that separate themselves from other...most are pretty good, very few Ive ever had are actually terrible...

I like his lists but I don't read the OP post except for the list, he gets too wordy.

That's how I missed his comment on Buds Broiler. But I do like the discussion these lists entail. I wish others would rank their favorite burgers.

I also think listing an impossible to get burger at number 1 was shitty.
I'm going to get a Company Burger now, its been a few weeks since I had one.

going to get a burger right now, can't decide between Tru, Company, BooKoo, HiHat or Cowbell.

Probably got to one of the first three as I don't want to do the whole table service dine-in thing. May just drop into mid-city and do BooKoo.

But Cowbell is calling me, as is the Yam salad at Hi-Hat.

If any one locally hasn't tried those five, they need to, all five of them..

IDK craving a burger, and I have tried almost every place...

Glassman did recommend a place to me behind Madigan's, maybe I will try there.

I try new places a lot, sometimes I want something familiar.

R2R, lunch in NOLA, whole tab under $20 where do you go?

And both are on my list of places to try. Thanks Mayhem...
