What are your go tos?

I really like Pad Se Ew.

Also, it seems like Thai restaurants do Crab Rangoon better.

I absolutely hate the peanut sauce though that’s so common.

Also not a huge fan in general how most Asian countries handle vegetables

I'm a fan of the Pad Kee Mao (spicy) from Rama.

I like it all. One dish that is criminally underrated is Thai beef salad.

Tom Yum soup
Spicy Basil Shrimp
Thai Basil Noodle (with shrimp)

That's what they call them on the menu. Not sure of actual Thai name, if any.

Montgomery has a place called Green Papaya that serves legit Panang Curry. I'd eat it out of homeless dude's shoe.

Tom Kah soup is also fantastic. Probably the biggest bargain on any Thai menu as well. It’s basically like having a huge bowl of delicious curry with rice on the side.

When I lived in Montgomery, we went to a place on Atlanta Hwy.that was pretty good. It was located across the street from that awful Chinese buffet. When I left Montgomery in September, I noticed that most of those Chinese buffets had closed. I went once to that Chinese buffet on Atlanta Highway and the food was awful. They also had unsupervised kids putting their hands in the food. I didn't eat much at that place. In the back they would cook a steak for you when you picked the steak that you wanted. I got mine medium. The steak was good, but when I got home, I had to install a seat belt on my toilet. I'll never eat at another buffet.
