My family has foolishly asked me to host our small Thanksgiving feast this year. I have a smallish spiral sliced ham that should take about 2 hours at 275° to bring up to temp and a cooked turkey breast that should take about an hour at 350° to heat up.

I have a single oven. My plan is to do the ham first, wrap it in foil and maybe a towel, and put it in something like a Dutch oven at room temp while the turkey cooks. I’m totally new at this so I’m prepared for abuse - is there a better way to keep the ham warm without drying it out while the turkey finishes?

The good news is that ham is pretty forgiving. Most people are accustomed to eating cooler ham (in sandwiches), so there isn't an expectation that it is piping hot like you'd expect from a roast or something.

I think your idea sounds fine to keep it warm for that hour that the turkey heats. You could even place the foil-wrapped ham into the oven for the last 5 or so minutes of your turkey time. It wouldn't harm the ham at such a short length of time, IMO. Just enough to rewarm whatever cooling it may have done, if any.

No, but I've made so many charts around here that I get made fun of.
