Ok I am confused

do u go up and stick you own meat and then they cook it or is it true table service? The web site does not give much info. For $43, is it just a novelty experience like melting pot?

Funnier still that the only guy I know named Gilson happens to be Brazilian.

Pretty much. But if you're one of those "more food = better meal" people then it might be okay.

Just came back from Texas de Brazil, where I used my 50% off coupon. The total price (after coupon) was about $50 (before tip.) That was for the basic buffet price, plus 1 Coke. I was very unimpressed. Most of the meats were dry, overcooked, and overly salty. The lobster bisque was the only thing I really enjoyed. Service was also not good. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, especially at full price.

Thanks for the review, and for the coupon, I'll probably hit them up today with a friend. What time of day did you go?

I guess in all fairness they probably need some time to work the bugs out, if they just opened.

so it is more of a buffet type place ? i was thinking it was going to be like a fogo de chao where you sit at the table and they bring the meats around and you flip your colored disc to let them know you want more .. $42.99 for a buffet ?? you have to be kidding .. not what i thought it was going to be ..

Thats exactly what Texas De Brazil is. Been to the one in Dallas which was pretty good. You have a red and green disk. Its a buffet in the sense that you get as much food as you want.

Went to Fogo de Chao out in Chicago and was blown away at how good it was. Treated a couple of people who also drank, and was equally blown away by the bill including tip

It was worth it, though. I'd rather drop that kind of money there instead of Ruth's Chris. I very rarely eat red meat, so I'm going to do it right when I do.

Been to both Fogo and Texas de Brazil. It seems to really depend on the location. I found the Texas De Brazil in Dallas better than the Fogo in Houston but the one in Atlanta was better than both.

We went last night for dinner at 8pm... majority of meats were dry and overcooked. Salad bar was unique and bountiful, but I came for the meats and left disappointed.

Also, if you go on their website and join their e-club, and enter your birthday as a date sometime in the near future, they will send you an email for a complimentary meal. Or if you're married (or not) you can enter your real (or make up) an anniversary date and they will send a similar coupon.
