I had some customers request that we go eat some good BBQ. I typically go to Roegels or Pit Room. Is there any better places around town? TIA

Houston proper or will the northern or southern suburbs work?

Other options close are Pizzatola’s (nostalgia, old school - not on same level as the newer places), Pinkerton’s in the Heights, Gatlin’s north of 610.

Killens, Tejas, Corkscrew all too far for 20 mins from Galleria

Pit Room. Pork ribs, beef rib and brisket.

Then a nap shortly after.

Yep. Pit upgrades/cleaning, letting the staff take some time off. All per their instagram. Just a week closure.

OP - I'd just stick with Pit Room. Fits your criteria and its really good BBQ, in the loop or not.

I agree with many of the other posters. I would go to The Pit Room or Killens.
