What’s the name of the sushi restaurant near LSU that I’ve heard has the best sushi in BR? I’m usually a Sushi Yama or Ichiban guy.

Shout out to Drunk Fish as well. Right outside the gates and pretty damn good sushi.

Umami is the best sushi in Baton Rouge by a long shot, and possibly the best restaurant overall. They were out of a good bit of their specialty items the other day due to delayed shipments that they get direct from Japan, but hopefully that has been fixed.

They have very creative dishes you can't get elsewhere.

Agreed. Their bone marrow appetizer is to die for. Some of the most creative dishes over at Umami, unlike most sushi joints in BR.

Agreed. And the place is never crowded unlike Ichiban or Sushi Yama, where the wait times are insane.

It's up there. Possibly top 3 for me with Beausoleil and Eliza.

Kick out Tsunami and put Umami on the roof of the Shaw Center and it's the best.

Kaminari.

$13.00 all you can eat sushi and hibachi.

Pro tip: go for lunch and it’s only $8.00. Best sushi in Br and it’s not even close.

Ate there in December and it was just so underwhelming. For sushi, I’d pick Geisha over it.

It's not mind blowing, but you can make a very good meal out of their "Tsunami Specialties" menu.

The Sunflower in particular is a pretty good dish

But yeah, they don't necessarily have interesting offerings you can't get elsewhere.

Umami is a Top 5 overall restaurant in BR, possibly #1.
