That's all well and good, but you've yet to clarify what makes the people who go to the "stuffy" restaurants boring.

if you go Boucherie, double check for availability. Small place. I find it more intimate than "fun". But others could disagree

Bad choice of wording on my part. I don't think people that go to 'stuffy' restaurants are boring by any means...the attorneys I work with are some of the most interesting people that I know.....Maybe reserved would have been a better word choice.

It's very small, and it can be intimate...I actaully went for Valentines last year...however, I have been with a group and had a blast. It can be both...but yes, it is a very small place

Great place given the quality of the food vs. the price plus you can get some good drinks there, but the atmosphere is very subdued and it really is quite enclosed in there.

I LOVE Boucherie. Love it.

But I don't recommend it for this group. Its very small and I consider it to be intimate, although somewhat casual (not stuffy).

Thanks.

Atchafalya fits the bill but it may be a little pricey for your group. La Thai could be a good spot but I don't care for their dining room and the menu is overpriced, IMO.

Great place, no doubt. It prob falls somewhere in the middle. But being so small you might feel like you are pissing everyone off if you are being loud.

I went with a friend there last week and the experience and the food were very good. Chef Merlin is super friendly.

Yeah. I think we may stick with Jacquesimos.

I think, I'm more confused now than when I started.

No, I'm almost positive it's SlowFloPro's Birthday, too and he has seniority. Plus I don't really want THAT much attention. haha.

stuffy? there's another term that gets thrown around regarding restaurants.. and I have no idea what it's supposed to mean.

usually the word "stuffy" is used by cheap people who want to find an excuse to not eat at expensive, upscale restaurants.

How about you use a little common sense and then go take a GasEx.

If you go there, you need to see if your group can get a reservation(can't remember the minimum size requirement) or get there very early.

It's always a crowded place and there is a huge convention in town.

They take them for 5 or more and only times open are for 5:00 and 9:45. I'll figure something out.

Thanks for your help everyone; I have a lot to work with.
