The syrup company sells sausage, or you want Steen’s flavored sausage like someone in Lafayette makes?

ETA: I guess a ton of sausage makers in the area make Steen’s pork sausage. Sounds yummy.

I’m sure NuNu’s or Heberts (or Taylor’s, or Shawn’s, or Heleaux’s...) will ship it.

The closest I’m aware of is Kartchner’s in Krotz Springs. Worth the drive imo bc you can hit up Kartchners and Billy’s at the same time

Umm, please tell me what this delicious product is. Never heard of it, but I’m very intrigued.

Became popular in Lafayette area. Local specialty meat stores started carrying Steen's or Honey smoked Pork. My favorite is Champagnes in Carencro but they are all good. Adds an Extra silky texture and taste to a Gumbo or Sauce. And great just pulled from the grill. Theres also some nice combos of Steens Fresh/Green sausage both chicken and pork too. Its all really good.

This is my favorite sausage. Try this one day.

Take the sausage out of the casing and cook it. Cover pizza dough with barbecue sauce. Carmelize purple onion with a little brown sugar. Top the pizza with the sausage, onions and cheese. It is a little sweeter than regular pizza, but it is delicious.

I've only had it from NuNu's. It's delicious on the grill but I don't really care to use it when cooking anything else with it.

Used to eat Steen's syrup with fried bread dough and pork sausage patties when I was younger. This brought back some memories. Never heard of it mixed in with the sausage, will need to see if I can find it near NOLA.

I love Steens but it is strong and could easily over power sausage unless used lightly. I learned this lesson no my ribs I love to drizzle on steens rub it in till ribs are shiny that helps the rub stick and bring spice and heat. Too much can be over powering though.

I was referring to the bbq sauce pizza with the syrup sausage, brown sugar and caramelized onions. Sounds like a bad episode of Chopped.

The sausage alone sounds fine
