For whatever reason BT is readily available on the shelf in Memphis.

Not always. Buster's didn't even have one bottle of BT a last week. I usually go to Corks in Germantown, and they usually have it but will not have handles a lot of the time and sometimes are just plain out of it

Just FYI:

Fifth = 17 shots 25.36 ozs.
Liter= 22 shots 33.82 ozs.
Handle= 39 shots 59.18 ozs.

It was a liter in the picture but that’s pretty expensive considering you can by a fifth for $23. When you can find it.

Interesting. I have a friend who travels to Memphis regularly and he just muled me back two 1.75's. He's a picker so he goes all over the place scrounging for bottles and barrel picks. It could've taken him multiple stops to locate them. I like to keep an open bottle out for houseguests.

Probably. It is usually pretty easy to find here, I just noticed for the first time around Oct/Nov

I stopped chasing bottles a couple of years ago and I thought bourbon was crazy then. Little did I know……

I happened to be in Oak Point Watson last Tuesday and they had 3 boxes/cases of Eagle Rare. Limit 2 per person at $32/bottle. I think I was the last person in line and got the last one.

Crazy to think that in the mid 2000’s I used to buy Pappy Van Winkle 15 year by the 6 bottle case at the liquor store on Perkins Road for something like $30 a bottle.

Weird time for the alcohol industry if you think about it. Craft beer and the brewery craze wasn’t even a thing and most people were not drinking as much bourbon as they are today.

Rouses in mandeville has 10 cases sitting on the floor. Hwy 22.

Makes me laugh that it’s allocated elsewhere.

Yep. I've been on an old forester kick myself. Love the 100 signature and the rye. 1920 is easily one of my favorites

I would put old Forester and Elijah Craig up against buffalo trace any day

Curious... how much do people in the states with scarce BT stock pay per bottle and case?
