Ran out of beam but didn’t want to quit drinking, and I didn’t want to drive. Saw some of this shite in my fridge that’s been sitting for a while. It was awful. Started drinking vodka. How is this shite selling like hot cakes?

Not more than 20 minutes ago, I was standing in the beer aisle of my local Safeway. I saw this Truly drink and actually thought about buying it. I ended up going with Lagunitas "Little Sumpin" Hazy.

Hard seltzers are the next wave and they are going through growing pains much like IPA's and sours did. One thing that was pointed out to me was sugar. I love sugar so Truly/White Claw/Bon and Viv just won't do it for me. I tried the Smirnoff hard seltzers which have more sugar and I found those to be pretty good.
