Special Occasion Dinner in Madisonville

We have a special occasion coming up this weekend, as well as a friend whose boat will be parked on the riverfront for the Wooden Boat Festival. Is there a restaurant there that y’all recommend? Any particular dishes that you especially enjoy? Thanks in advance.

If they’re parked at the riverfront Tchefunctes is the answer as it’s right there. Great setting and view of the River.
Pardos is a good choice also but you’ll have to drive from the river (not far)

Dude, we LIVE on the south shore. (Hint: it’s in my moniker.) Trying to do research on an area we have some familiarity with, but not for fine dining.

I think this is the winning suggestion. We’ve had fun meals at The Anchor before, but never ventured upstairs.

Tchefuncte's is the answer because you said "special occasion" and also because you are already a block away from the restaurant.
Just be aware that things don't come cheap there.
I was at a party with the owner a year before he opened it and he said (this is a real quote) "I am going to open the most expensive restaurant on the Northshore." And... he did.
But I still go there two or three times a year. Usually for a "special occasion."
