Seems like the best of all worlds. Temp control of pellet grills for smoking, the high heat grilling ability of charcoal, and the convenience of gas.

Interesting. Click on the pic and scroll down to see all the features. This thing looks simple but is pretty sophisticated. Like a high tech PK Grill.

I like that!
Looks like a game changer.

My first thought was how much are their briq's going to be. Under the FAQs it just says about as much as a quality back of lump coal.

The technology seems pretty cool but it seems to lacks the convenience & conventional characteristics of grills that are currently on the market.

For now the fuel source could be a problem. I read they are sending a lot with initial purchase but still it seems for awhile you won’t be able to walk into lowes and get one or two.

Outside of available grilling surface looks pretty cool

Huh. Intriguing. I'd definitely wait around for some initial reviews and consider it. 800 bucks is cheap if it's what they say it is.

Masterbuilt gravity series should solve this.

Uses regular charcoal, does all the same things, it has more space, it isn't 800 dollars.

I’ve been eyeing pellet grills but this may push me into buying if it’s as good as they claim. Price of coal and longevity of each brick will make my decision for me. Hopefully it’s well constructed.

More importantly, how long will a briq burn for on a low n slow...? I did a 16 hr brisket Friday and didn’t even used 1/4 of a 20# bag of lump and still had plenty left in egg.

It only has 368 sq. in. of cooking area. That’s pretty small.

I wonder if there will be briqs by competitors. Looks like cleanup will be a breeze. No clogs in the auger. No chimney starter needed. Definitely on the radar.

Yeah another big question. I want to make sure I have access to more bricks if this business does not make it

The business plan is to make much more money off the bricks then the pit. you are locked into that company if they are the only ones that can provide the fuel to use the pit.

Will you be locked in? If this is as good as it looks, there will be other similar grills on the market pdq. They won't be able to gouge on the briqs for long.

I want to see if it is as good as advertised, and how smoky it is. I see an opportunity for a competitor to make something like this only it allows you to add wood for smoking.

depends on how well they put together their patent applications

It also depends on how much they decide to license the system.
