As another poster already stated, Southern Classic is better than all the other fast food chicken joints. And their side items are all very good as well.

I went by when they opened and it was like Johannesburg out there. Didn't go back.

Hammond store chicken review
The chicken is really outstanding. Crispy, juicy, well flavored. I prefer it without hesitation to Popeyes. It’s just spicy enough but unlike Popeyes I don’t regret eating it afterwards and I did not get snarled at when ordering. 10/10 on the chicken it’s nearly perfect
The sides are mediocre. Ranked in order of quality:
Coleslaw
Fries
Mashed potatoes
Rolls
Red beans/rice
The red beans are not good. Flavorless and sad. Avoid
Price was in line with what you’re used to, certainly money well spent.
Not as good as the chicken at Jeannie’s but this is fast food not sit down

Same as the one off of Sherwood in BR. I’ve had it a few times and thought it was OK. I prefer Blue Store a lot more.
I actually think this location will close soon. I never see anyone there.

Very few chicken joints in the universe compare to mamas in da motherland of Opelousas.
