What size sous vide container should I get? Time to upgrade from my stock pot.

I use a 12 qt restaurant grade container. Camwear I think. You can find sous vide specific lid for most of them. Amazon has a bunch of various items. Sometimes I'll still use a tall stockpot if I have a long item i.e. a Tomahawk Ribeye.

My rig clamps onto the divider in my sink, so I just use that. Ice chests work as well if you can attach to the side. It's hot water, not boiling oil. Pretty much any container can be used as long as your circulator can keep the water in it hot enough and you can clean it enough to pass muster.

I use both depending on the size of what I'm cooking.

I think it's designed so you can stand things up and it'll hold them apart to make sure the water hits all sides of each item.

I used to have something similar in my freezer until I broke it.
