Big Green Egg and Primo grills come standard with a thermometer in the dome. There are some fancy probe thermometers that you stick in the meat with wireless transmitters that you can wear on your belt for about $50.

Yeah I've got a Weber wireless probe that I bought with the WSM. But I need to find a new one for the smoker temp, preferably one I can put in through the vent on top so I don't have to open it. I had one from Wal-Mart that worked fine, but now all I can find are similar ones that only measure up to like 200 degrees, which ain't doing me a whole lot of good.

That's the one I was using FWIW. I don't know why I never even though to look on the nets.

The turkey was great and thanks for the good suggestions. I smoked it, using pecan, at 325. Took about 20 minutes or so per pound, just for the record. The BGE does a superb job.

I have a large, I believe, and it came with a shelf on each side. Very handy. They fold down when not in use.

I have the same. The shelf and rolling stand are called the "nest"

I am getting ready to revamp my outdoor kitchen and get a smaller gas grill and build in my green egg.

Yes, the nest is great. I can't imagine not having the nest. Got a nice cover for it as well.

If you build it into your outdoor kitchen, how will you reach the bottom draft? Will that side be open?
