Gog, Ponce and Chaudin is all the samething. Gog is what we call it in Avoyelles. Not sure if anyone else calls it that.

Interesting.. I'm a prairie Cajun and never heard it called Gog. Wonder where that term comes from?
I've also heard chaudin being the name for a green or un-smoked ponce. Is Chaudin usually called smoke ponce in the River parishes?
