Any advertisement is good advertisement....especially word of mouth (unless it involves impotence).

Calandro's up here had a special on it a while back, like $35-40 or something. Also Gino's up here had a bunch of it and got a great deal on it. It was only like $55 in the restaurant so I can only imagine how cheap Gino got it for.

Damn good prices...

I am weird in that I would have no problem dropping $70 for it at a restaurant, but hesitate to buy it for $50 at Dorignacs.

Didn't you do the shrimp and grits for the last "lovely lady dinner" you asked about here

Good memory! That was 2 lovely ladies ago. The last one I cooked blackened drum, grilled asparagus, and parmesan garlic mashed potatoes for.

ETA: I cut her loose cause her personality didnt mesh with mine.

You may as well open a restaurant, and use it as a means to sleep with random women.

That's what my frat brothers said I should do instead of law school.

A bar would work better for that

This is my Costa Rican plan...part of it at least. I would fight you for all the hot tourist though...you could have all of them.

You wasted a good homecooked gourmet meal on her? How long did it take you to figure out the personality thing?

Why don't you do a fish papillote with the beurre blanc sauce? The other thread made me think of that. Use some aromatics/herbs with the fish.

That's the dangerous type. They reel you in and then show their true colors after your hooked. Very sly and dangerous.

Maybe you should save these good meals until some more time passes to make sure the "lovely lady" is really a lovely lady.

Maybe so but I enjoy cooking for them. Plus, it makes the ladies swoon...

So, this is an ego thing.

Go with what you do best, then. If you want to try something new, the fish might be a good option as I suggested above.

She told me she wants pork tenderloin. This is gonna be easy.

Quick marinade for the tenderloin, grilled asparagus, and maybe some roasted potatoes

Oh, yeah, that's going to be very easy. I have an Asian tenderlon recipe that's very good from Cuisine at Home, if she likes Asian flavors. There's a slaw that accompanies it.
