Wish we could see how many people voted vs just a percentage of the vote

I'm wondering if they just don't want to let people know how many or few people participated in the survey.
The 225 editor wrote a nice column about how people need to try new places and pointed out how they had to drop categories because few people participated or one business just dominated. And they did spotlight some of the staff's favorite places, which were a lot more off the beaten path.

Well thats good then...
Surprised Chimes won best bar, I would have given the nod to Olive or Twist because I think of resturant when discussing Chimes.

I admit, I participated in the voting. Only 7 of the establishments I voted for won their respective categories.

The magazine had Best Chef as well, it went to the city pork chef.

John goose was runner up.

Best Mexican: Superior Grill (25.8%)

This might be the worst Mexican food in the city. I never eat the food there anymore, and I stopped before I heard from multiple people that they found bugs in their food.

I always vote. Can't remember exactly who I voted for, but I think a similar number of the things I voted for won. I figure voting allows me the right to make fun of the results. It is a big deal for the local businesses that win; I've had friends whose bars and restaurants won and they were happy.

Best Seafood: Tony's Seafood (18.8%)

I hate the category's like this because it shouldn't be grouped with the other finalist for that category. The rest are all nice seafood restaurants, this is a market.
quote:

Best Pizza: Fleur de Lis Pizza (33.3%)

Will never understand the love for this place
quote:

Best New Restaurant: Phil's Oyster Bar (14.9%)

Straight nostalgia because this place is the definition of average, but its always packed.

Best Fries: Raising Cane's (20.6%)

The 20.6% that voted for Cane's need to be banned from voting again. Literally everything else on the plate at Canes is better than the fries. Who eats Cane's and thinks "wow, those fries were incredible..." They are fricking frozen french fries with salt.
