Ever check out the seafood lot in Westwego? They have way better prices than any seafood store or supermarket in the area. Just last week I got 20 lbs. of 21/25's for $4 a lb. and they were real nice.

I will sometimes get the 11/15 to use to make BBQ Shrimp ala the Pascal Manale's recipe and I get them for about $5-$5.50 a lb.

Did they use lube?

Thats $2.25 to 2.50 from a shrimper.

I live in N.O. and that price is at least $2+ cheaper than almost any seafood market or supermarket. For me to go to the shrimper is going to cost me a good bit of time and gas, so it's worth it.

Besides, the seafood lot storefront owners have their overhead after buying from the shrimper.

Well no shite Sherlock. I've lived here in N.O. for all but 3 of my 65 years on this orb. I know where Houma is in relation to Westwego.

I was just offering an alternative if you lived in N.O.

Chauvins is convenient but a little more expensive than some of the other docks around. Dulac is the place to be for shrimp IMO

Louisiana Brings in the most shrimp in the US.

Terrebonne brings in the most shrimp in Louisiana.

Dulac brings in the most shrimp in Terrebonne.
