Awful location for Grimaldi’s. Sucks because it’s a good place.

Ki Mexico is a must.

PizzaRev is new. I haven’t been yet though. Heard mixed reviews.

Fat Calf Boucherie is at Red River and has great food. Red Rivers beers are meh though.

Rotolos or Twisted Root always have the best beer selection. I prefer Twisted Root usually.

Planned on Ki Mexico. I saw twisted root had some good beers so I might stop in, but the original is like 10 minutes down the street

Pizzarev is like pie five, right?

Fun place and decent selection but be ready to pay 9 bucks a pop for newly released stuff.

ETA the Twisted Root in Shreveport always has the best selection in town.

Ki Mexico
Franks Pizza
Franks Louisiana Kitchen
Fat Calf Boucherie

Great Raft obviously

Flying Heart's beer is just meh but their patio is pretty legit place to hang out and drink beer when the weather is right.

Heard good things about El Cabo Verde.

Man, I used to get super drunk at Maurice's back in the day. Forgot about that place.

If you go there, try the crispy brussel sprouts with golden raisins, pepitas, korean chili powder and black lava salt. The blistered shishito peppers with lemon, cotija & cane syrup reduction are good too.

A pizza restaurant has recently opened inside Flying Heart but I haven’t tried it yet. A short writeup on it:

Wooden Spoon Pizza

Although not new, if you like bun bo Hue, the best one that I have found is at the Noodle Bar within Sportsman’s Paradise Cafe in the El Dorado Casino.

I wasn’t surprised to see Grimaldi’s closed down. Anyone ever go to that location?

That was the dumbest damned decision to put it in a dying mall. All I can figure is the space was free or dirt cheap.

I went once. Service and atmosphere was fine, but I thought the pizza was generic meh.

Pretty sure Maurice's finally closed. The old Austrian lady who worked there opened a Viennese place in Bossier where Sabore's was behind the bowling alley. Food was okay on my visit, but we were the only ones there. I'd be surprised if it's still open.

It was apparently a package deal with the mall management people, or that’s the story I heard- they opened in a better location/mall if they also opened one in MSV. I also heard they were moving to the Boardwalk- not sure how much truth there is to that though.

On the new front, Tejas (in the old Real Pickle) is real good food, but the service can be slow.

Also, bars can open on Sunday now at noon.

It's a sin to serve alcohol at 11:30 but at Noon it's ok? LOL!

Franks or Pizza Rev both way better than Rotolos.

I know. Frank's is awesome. I was looking for beers though. We ended up going to neither.
